- 1 large head of celery
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 50 g butter or margarine
- 50 g walnut halves
- 1 full apple
- 300 ml chicken stock
- Few drops of soya sauce
1. Trim and wash the celery.
2. Cut the sticks in 5cm/2 inch lengths.
3. Fry the onion in the butter or margarine in a large pan.
4. Add the celery and walnuts .
5. Cook for a few minutes, then pour in the stock.
6. Simmer uncovered for 25-30 minutes until softened.
7. Season with soy sauce.
8. Serve immediately
