Chicken with green beans, peppers and cashews

Many dishes of Asian cuisine are perfect for fast lunches. Products in them are cut into small pieces, so they are prepared in a few minutes. You can use lean pork or beef instead of chicken or even make a dish vegetarian by increasing the amount of beans and sweet pepper.

List of required products:

  • 350 g chicken breast fillet;
  • 1/2 cup of roasted cashews;
  • 150 grams of frozen green beans;
  • 1 sweet pepper and 1 chili pepper;
  • 1 bunch of purple basil;
  • garlic — 3 cloves;
  • 1 tsp. cornstarch (or 1.5 teaspoon of potato one)
  • 2 tbsp. of vegetable oil.

For marinade:

  • 2 tbsp. dark beer;
  • 1 tbsp. of fish sauce;
  • 1/4 tsp. freshly ground black pepper.

For sauce:

  • 1/4 cup chicken broth;
  • 1 tbsp. of dark beer;
  • 1 tsp. soy sauce;
  • 1 tbsp. of fish sauce;
  • 1/4 tsp. of sugar.

Begin to cook

  1. Mix all the ingredients in the bowl for the marinade. Chicken fillet is cut into cubes with a side of 1 cm and put into a marinade. Stir and leave for 10 minutes.
  2. At this time, mix all the ingredients for the sauce in the bowl and set it aside.
  3. Clean the sweet pepper from the seeds and cut into thin strips. Chili pepper is cut into rings. Garlic is chopped, the basil leaves are cut thinly. Frozen beans are filled with boiling water for 1 minute. Pour into a colander.
  4. Put the wok onto the fire and heat the vegetable oil. Put the garlic and cook it, stirring, for 10 seconds. Add chicken, beans and sweet pepper and cook, stirring constantly, for about 3 minutes. Pour inside the sauce and bring the contents of the wok to a boiling condition. Stir the starch with 2 tsp. of water and pour into the wok, stirring. Cook for 1 minute until the sauce thickens. Remove the wok from the heat, add chili, basil and cashew. Stir and serve immediately to the table.
