Chicken with lemon sauce

Today we are going to present you another delicious and at the same time rather unusual version of a dinner with chicken. It is prepared in the Asian style, but appreciated by people (both children ad adults) from all around the planet.

List of required products:

  • salt, freshly ground black pepper;
  • chicken breast without skin — 2 items;
  • starch — 2 tbsp.;
  • rice wine — 1 tbsp.;
  • leaves of cilantro and chili peppers for serving;
  • vegetable oil — 1 tbsp.;
  • dark sesame oil — 1 tsp.;
  • egg white — 1 item.

For sauce:

  • lemon juice — 3 tbsp.;
  • lime juice — 2 tbsp.;
  • salt;
  • starch — 2 tsp.;
  • sugar — 3 tbsp;
  • cold water — 6 tbsp. l.

Begin to cook


  1. Put chicken breasts should be arranged inside a suitable container. After that salt and pepper them. Don’t forget to add rice wine. By the way, the last one can be replaced with dry sherry. Sesame oil is always necessary. Cover the dish with a lid and let it marinate for 15 minutes.
  2. Mix egg white with starch thoroughly and roll the breasts well in this mixture.
  3. Heat the frying pan with a non-stick coating, add the vegetable oil and fry the chicken fillet on both sides — 4 minutes on each side.
  4. In the meantime, cook the sauce. In the deep stewing pan mix lemon and lime juice, add sugar, starch and water. Salt everything a little. Bring to a boiling condition, reduce heat and boil until the sauce is thick enough.
  5. Serve on a warmed plate, sliced, poured with sauce. Don’t forget to sprinkle with finely chopped chili and cilantro leaves. As a garnish you can give boiled rice. It would be really ideal.
