Asian vegetable broth

Spicy and flavored, extraordinarily sophisticated warming soup. It will be a perfect idea for cold winter and autumn evenings, as well as, during and harsh, boring and so sad rainy seasons.

List of required products:

  • lemongrass 1 item;
  • garlic — 3 cloves;
  • ginger 1 slice;
  • anise tree — 2 stars;
  • vegetable broth (water) 800 ml;
  • Chinese cabbage 200 g;
  • fish sauce — 1 teaspoon;
  • soy sauce — 1 teaspoon;
  • green onions — 1/4 bundle;
  • watercress 1 box;
  • red chili — 1 item;
  • lime — 1 item.

Begin to cook


Lemongrass is broken with a rolling pin or a flat side of the knife to crack and better give more flavor. Put everything into the container an anise tree, peeled and chopped ginger and garlic. Pour with broth, bring to a boil condition and cook for 30 minutes. Lemongrass and anise tree are taken away.

Cut cabbage, chop the onion and chili pepper into round pieces. Add cabbage to the soup and cook for 5 minutes.

Remove from heat, season with soy and fish sauce, lime juice to taste. Sprinkle with spring onions and watercress. Decorate with chili. Enjoy!
