A delightful «Chak-chak»

This eastern dessert is based on honey and dough. It is prepared simply and, despite the plain look, it has a delicious taste. The Bashkirs and Tatars take this dish for the festive table.

List of ingredients

• wheat flour — 450 gr
• sugar — 150 gr
• sour cream fatty — 200 ml
• sunflower oil — for deep-frying
• honey — 50 gr
• water 100 ml
• walnuts peeled nuts — 200 gr
• salt — 1 pinch

Cooking process

1. Take a deep container and pour sour cream into it. Add a pinch of salt and wheat flour, sifting it through a sieve.
2. Knead the dough. It will turn out to be elastic, soft and should not stick to the palms of your hands. Put the finished dough in a bowl and cover with a thin towel. Remove the bowl with the dough aside.
3. Then prepare the syrup. In a small saucepan add sugar. Pour water to it and put it on the fire. Stir, bring the mixture to homogeneity. Cook the syrup for 15-20 minutes. Then add honey. Mix the mixture well until smooth. Important! Syrup with honey should not boil!
4. Proceed to walnuts. Using a rolling pin, crush them into a crumb. We take a bowl of a deep size and put into it crushed nuts.
5. Then take a piece of dough and put it on the flour-pricked work surface. Roll the dough into a thin layer (about 3 millimeters thick). Cut the dough into of 3.5 — 4 cm. Strips with flour and add them as a stack. Mix the cut strips and shake off excess flour from them.
6. Pour in the deep-frying sunflower oil and warm it well. If you do not have deep-frying, use a small pot, and get ready noodles with noise.
7. Put in a well-heated oil a little noodles. Fry the strips of the dough until they get a golden hue.
8. Fry the dough on a paper towel so that it absorbs excess oil. We pour the crushed nuts to the fried strips of dough and slowly mix the mass. Pour the previously prepared syrup here. Mix again.
9. Take a flat dish and spread it on your hands noodles in the form of a slide. We must moisten the palms in cold water. On the formed hill pour out the remaining syrup.
