Eggplant salad with ginger

Today we are going to cook eggplants. However, as a rule, all the tried recipes are considered to be bored. The favorite baked eggplants with garlic can’t be made without an oven, mayonnaise needs a blender. So we have decided just to trust our imagination.

As a result we have got a really delicious dish. It’s probably not a shame to serve in expensive restaurants.

So, meet steamed eggplants with spicy dressing from flavored sesame oil and spices.

List of required products:

  • eggplant — 500 g;
  • sesame oil — 2 tbsp.;
  • chili sauce — 1 tsp.;
  • garlic — 4 cloves;
  • ginger — 1 slice;
  • green onion — 3 stems;
  • soy sauce — 2 tbsp;
  • sugar — 1 tbsp;
  • rice vinegar — 1 tbsp.

Begin to cook


  1. Eggplants are cut into cubes, put in a steamer, cooked for 20-30 minutes until they are soft.
  2. Ginger is grated on a fine grater. After that the green onions are chopped finely. Put a small frying pan on medium heat, splash some sesame oil and add chili sauce. Fry the ginger and crush the garlic. Add sugar, onion, vinegar and soy sauce. Cook for 1 min. It is not recommended not to do it more. Otherwise you will spoil all the taste. Please, don’t forget about it, as this is really very important.
  3. Pour the eggplants with hot sauce and stir carefully. Enjoy!
