Minted Yoghurt Sauce


  • 1/2 cup (250 ml/8 fl oz) plain yogurt
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • a garlic clove, mashed and chopped
  • 2-3 tbsp finely chopped mint

Cooking Process

  1. Stir together the plain yoghurt , lemon juice, salt, ground cumin, sugar, mashed and chopped garlic clove and the finely chopped mint.
  2. Leave to stand for at least 30 minutes, then use some to marinate beef or lamb, and the rest as a sauce over the barbecued meat.
