Russian pies with cheese

You, probably, often heard about such a dish, as Russian pies? If you never prepared them, then it’s time to do it. Today we will learn how to prepare these tasty things with cheese.

This is a real Russian dish, known well since ancient times. By the form of they resemble ordinary patties of round shape or tortillas. Prepare them from a variety of dough: wheat, rye or wheat-rye.

What products to take

  • 5 cups — sifted flour;
  • 3 eggs;
  • 1 sachet — baking powder;
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • a little salt;
  • salt

For filling:

  • 150 g of cheese;
  • to taste — spices;
  • salt

Begin to cook

  1. Add the baking powder and salt to the eggs, and whisk components.
  2. Then mix with sour cream and begin to add flour gradually.
  3. Mix the homogeneous dough (if necessary, you can reduce or increase the amount of flour).
  4. Mix cottage cheese with spices and salt.
  5. We take small pieces from the dough, roll them into balls.
  6. In the balls we make holes and fill them with cheese filling.
  7. Cover the baking tray with butter, lay out our samples.
  8. We put the future dish into the oven preheated up to 190 degrees. After that bake for about 20 minutes.
