The preparation of such a wonderful dish like juicy chicken on a cabbage pillow usually takes quite a bit of time.
The chicken, baked with vegetables, turns out to be ruddy, juicy and very tasty. No additional fats are used: juices, reduced by chicken and vegetables are quite enough. During the baking, chicken gives juice and it turns out that the vegetables are stewed in chicken juice and in their own. A little sauce we will use only to cover the chicken in order to get a ruddy upper crust. We are sure that even the followers of proper nutrition will be pleased with this dish.
List of required products:
- 800 grams of chicken;
- 400 grams of cabbage;
- one large head of onions;
- one medium carrot;
- one ripe tomato;
- 2-4 cloves of garlic;
- 5 tablespoons of mayonnaise;
- half a teaspoon of salt;
- 1 tablespoon of soy sauce;
- a third of a teaspoon of seasoning khmeli-suneli;
- 4 sprigs of dill;
- black ground pepper to taste;
Begin to cook
- First of all we cut the chicken into portions, put them into a bowl, as we are going to pickle the meat.
- To meat add some garlic, passed through the press. Especially we like when there is a lot of garlic in this dish, but you can regulate its quantity to your own taste.
- Into a bowl of meat, add salt, soy sauce, favorite seasonings (we have had knmeli-suneli), mayonnaise and mix everything carefully.

- Mix the meat thoroughly with hands, cover the bowl with food film or lid and leave for one hour. The chicken should marinate.
- White cabbage is shred into very thin straws. If the cabbage is tough, then it should be slightly salted and pressed carefully.
- The peeled and clean carrots are rubbed on a large grater. But, of course, you can cut them as you are have used to.
- One large head (or two small) onions are cut into thin quarter rings.
- A pure tomato is also cut into quarter rings, of 2 mm thick.
- The green dill is cut with a knife.
- Deep baking tray is covered with vegetable oil (we have it in size of 20 to 28 centimeters). Lay out a cabbage pillow.
- After that we lay out the prepared vegetables in the following sequence: onions, carrots, tomatoes and greens.
- On the vegetable pillow lay out the pickled chicken pieces.
- We send the baking tray to the oven, heated up to 180 degrees. We cook for 40-60 minutes: the meat should turn to golden brown hint.
- We lay out pieces of meat along with vegetables on the plates and serve on the table.
