Fish dishes are appreciated all over the world, but the most unique recipes come to our menu from the East.
And this recipe for battered fish as well appeared in our cookbook thanks to the skills of the chefs from the famous Chinese restaurant. This dish became very popular because it can be prepared in a few minutes, but it turns out to be very tasty. This is a real masterpiece of cooking: tender fish meat literally melts in the mouth, and a crisp crusty paste adds piquancy.
List of requested products:
- 500-700 grams of any fish (this time we have taken cod);
- one lime + one lemon;
- one glass of ice cubes;
- half a glass of flour;
- half a glass of beer (light);
- 5 medium ripe tomatoes;
- half a glass of sea salt (you can buy in any store nowadays);
- olive oil, pepper — to taste.
Begin to cook
- It is better to take fresh fish, but if there is no such possibility, you can take the frozen one. Before cooking, the fish must be unfrozen in the fridge: in such a way it does not creep.
- We wash the fish, clean it and scaled, if necessary from black films.Cut off the head and tail, remove all the bones.
- Cut the fillet into thin slices.
- We prepare the batter: in a bowl it is recommended to mix half the glass of light beer (dark bitterness) and wheat flour, add a glass of ice.
- While the ice is melting, cut into small cubes of tomatoes (together with the skin, but you can remove it).
- Into a bowl with tomatoes, add salt and any ground pepper. In some cases it is recommended to use a mixture of peppers.It is necessary to crush this mixture very carefully.
- Into the frying pan pour olive oil and warm it.
- Prepared fish fillets are bred first in flour, then dipped into a batter and put into a frying pan with preheated oil.
- Fry the fish over medium heat until golden brown hint. The approximate time is 3 minutes. Then turn and fry on the other side.
- While the fish is being fried, prepare the sauce. Into the bowl, squeeze out the juice from lemon and lime, mix it with olive oil, stir carefully.
