Today we bring to your attention a very tasty dish for the whole family.
Friable, fragrant rice with vegetables and juicy appetizing meatballs are a wonderful combination for perfect lunch. For meatballs you can take any meat you like: beef, pork or chicken. Such a beautiful and tasty dish will also look great even on the festive table.
List of required products:
- 130 grams of dry rice;
- one average onion;
- 2 average carrots;
- one sweet Bulgarian paprika;
- odorless vegetable oil.
For meatballs
- 400 grams of minced meat;
- one small onion;
- salt and spices — to taste;
Begin to cook
- Minced meat, chosen for your taste, is put in a bowl. After that don’t forget to add salt and spices to taste (we like zira, black and red ground pepper).
- A small onion is cut into as small parts as it is possible. And then we add them into minced meat. Everything is mixed well and the minced meat is beaten a bit: so it will be more dense and it is better to keep the shape.
- Here is a small tip for you. If you have dry minced meat with a low fat content (beef or chicken one), add an egg and a little semolina.
- With the help of the moistened in water hands form meatballs, the size of which should be the size of a walnut.
- For the time, when we are going to cook vegetables, it is recommended to put the meatballs into the fridge.
- We cut the onion by a quarter of the rings.
- Two average carrots are rubbed on a large grater.
- One large sweet Bulgarian paprika is cut into thin quarter rings.
- In a frying pan, warm up a small amount of vegetable oil, lay out all the meatballs and fry them from all sides to a ruddy crust appearance.
- Then put all the vegetables into the frying pan and fry them a bit.
- While vegetables are being fried, carefully wash the rice in several waters, until the water becomes clear.
- We send rice to the frying pan with vegetables and mix with the help of spatula. Fill with 260 milliliters of water.
- Fire is reduced to a minimum. Add salt and stew for 20-25 minutes under the lid.
- Before serving, sprinkle your delicious dish with chopped greens.
