As for the experienced cooks, the most useful vegetables are those that are cooked in the oven. With this method of cooking, all the useful properties are preserved, and the taste of the dish is more saturated and distinctive. This time we have decided to make an experiment and to prepare something special from the ingredients what we have had available in the fridge.
It turned out to be a delicious cauliflower in the oven with a creamy sauce. We are really glad to share this recipe with you.
What products to take
- 100 g — hard cheese;
- 1 kg — cauliflower (inflorescence);
- 3 eggs;
- 3 tbsp. — flour;
- 250 ml — cabbage broth;
- 250 ml — cream;
- to taste — spices;
- fresh greens.
Begin to cook
- First of all cabbage must be boiled in salted water for 10 minutes.
- Heat the frying pan, fry the flour until it becomes golden.
- To the broth we should add cream. Mix everything carefully. Then gradually pour inside the fried flour and cook it to a thick condition, stirring constantly and carefully.
- In the end, season to taste with spices. We have used a mixture of peppers with nutmeg.
- Cool the mass.
- Whisk the eggs and mix them with the sauce.
- We rub the cheese on the grater. The size may be quite different. In this case it is up to you to decide which one to give your preference to.
- We take a baking mold and sprinkle the bottom with breadcrumbs.
- We put half of the boiled inflorescence, pour everything with the half of the sauce and sprinkle with the half of the grated cheese.
- Add the breadcrumbs again. In the same way arrange cabbage, sauce and cheese.
- We put everything into the preheated up to 200 degrees oven for about 15 minutes.
- When serving, add any fresh herbs you like.
This cauliflower is really fantastic! The dish is enough to be served just with bread.
