Chicken Coleslaw Salad

  • 6 cups shredded lettuce
  • desired amount of chicken breast
  • 2 medium carrots shredded
  • 1 large diced apple
  • 1/2 small sweet onion diced (optional)
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 2 tablespoons white distilled vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon celery seed

How To Prepare 

    1. Boil chicken breast and shred it.
    2. Place shredded lettuce, carrots, diced apple, shredded chicken breast and onions into a medium size bowl.
    3. Add mayonnaise, buttermilk, vinegar, sugar, and salt to a large bowl and whisk together with a fork until well-combined and smooth. Stir until sugar is completely dissolved. Add black pepper and celery seeds.
    4. Pour mayonnaise dressing over lettuce and toss together to mix thoroughly.
  • Serve immediately or cover and chill in refrigerator before serving.
