Meat salad in Asian style

How to feed some people with a small amount of baked or boiled meat? Prepare a salad! Try not to use mayonnaise and root crops. Give preference to Asian dressing and crunchy green vegetables. We are sure, you’ll like them!

List of required products:

  • 300 g of baked pork;
  • ½ head of Chinese cabbage;
  • 1 large cucumber;
  • 5 stems of celery;
  • 3 shoots of green onions;
  • 1/2 hot chili pepper;
  • 1 tbsp. brown sugar;
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar;
  • 1 lemon;
  • 1 hot red pepper;
  • 8-10 sprigs of cilantro;
  • 30 grams of sesame seeds;
  • 1 tbsp. flavored sesame oil;
  • 1 tbsp. soy sauce;
  • 1 tbsp. fish sauce (preferably).

Begin to cook

  1. With the help of a sharp shallow grater, peel the lemon and squeeze the juice. Separate the leaves of cilantro from twigs and chop the sprigs finely. Spicy pepper is freed from seeds and partitions and chopped finely.
  2. Prepare the dressing. Sugar is put in a small saucepan. After that add vinegar, lemon juice and 1 tbsp. water. Cook until the sugar dissolves. Remove from heat, add hot pepper and cilantro stems. Cool the dish. Pour the mixture into a blender and chop it. Add zest, sesame oil, soy and fish sauce to the dressing and mix everything carefully.
  3. Cut the meat into thin strips, removing excess fat. Mix with a small amount of dressing, leave to marinate for 30-35 minutes.
  4. Cucumber and celery are cut into strips with the size of a match. Chinese cabbage is shredded, hot pepper is cut into thin rings. Put the ingredients into a bowl, fill with a portion of the dressing. Put the salad to a dish, top the meat, sprinkle with cilantro leaves and sesame seeds.
