Rice salad with shrimps

Rice is considered to be a typical dish of the Asia. You can meet different variations of it. Locals prefer to boil it, to cook various soups and delicious sweet dishes. But in practice not many people of the planet can boast that they have already tried the salad prepared of rice.

And this is really in vain. As such kind of dish is really tasty. And this is not the only its advantage. – The matter is that the rice salads are usually quite substantial, which simultaneously means that you can cook it for dinner or eat instead of lunch.

List of required products:

  • rice (white long grain) — 1 tbsp.;
  • green salad — 4 large leaves;
  • sugar — 1 tbsp;
  • white wine vinegar — 3 tbsp.;
  • cucumbers — 3 pcs.;
  • green onions — 1 bunch;
  • almonds peeled — 0.5 tbsp.;
  • sesame oil — 1 tbsp.;
  • salt;
  • peeled shrimps — 200 g;
  • dry sherry — 1 tbsp.

Begin to cook

  1. Rice should be boiled until tender condition. After that put it into a bowl. In a small container mix the vinegar, sugar, sesame oil, sherry and salt. Pour rice and leave for 30 minutes.
  2. Almond is fried in a dry heated frying pan for 8 minutes.
  3. Salad leaves, cucumbers and green onions are washed and dried. Cucumbers are cut thinly. Chop onion. Add shrimps, onions, almonds and cucumbers to the rice. Stir, lay on lettuce leaves above.
